Weather
Four weather states cycle across the islands - each shifts solar output, crop growth and airship handling.
Clear
Blue skies and full sunlight. Solar panels run at maximum, crops grow at their standard rate, and airship flight is smooth. The best conditions for building, farming and exploring.
Cloudy
Overcast skies cut solar output noticeably. Crops are unaffected, but renewable generation dips - wind turbines may compensate depending on placement. Visibility stays good.
Rain
Steady rainfall waters crops automatically, reducing the need for irrigation. Solar output drops sharply. Some exposed materials degrade faster and airship handling gets a little harder.
Thunderstorm
The most severe state. Lightning and heavy wind can damage exposed crops and stress airship systems. Solar produces almost nothing, but wind turbines spike. Dock and wait it out.
Smart base design accounts for all four states. Pair solar panels with wind turbines and batteries so your grid stays powered through storms. Use daylight and rain sensors to automate irrigation and lighting. Greenhouses shield crops from thunderstorm damage while still letting lighter showers water them.
